Traffic, Safety & Jobs

Traffic: I would like to see San Marcos finish building the infrastructure it needs, such as the bridges on Bent Ave & Via Vera Cruz and the completion of Discovery St, which will go through all the way to Twin Oaks Valley Rd & E Carmel St. I will work to expand Discovery as soon as possible. To help the traffic flow along San Marcos Blvd, I would like to see San Marcos Blvd expand from 4 lanes to 6 lanes when the Creek District is developed.

Safety:  As a business owner, I have balanced the budget for over 20 years. You will find that I am fiscally responsible and I will always fund enough fire and sheriff for our town. I met with Captain Mike McClain a few months ago and we went over all of my safety concerns as I toured the facility and all the departments withing the Sheriff’s office.

Jobs: I am a smart growth candidate who wants to see more Jobs in San Marcos. We need to build more business parks and commercial buildings that will keep jobs right here in San Marcos. My vision for San Marcos is to develop the area in front of Fry’s Electronics all the way down to the PIMA Medical building, so that we can attract major corporations to San Marcos. That land is prime commercial real estate with Freeway viability. This will generate jobs in San Marcos and give San Marcos the much needed tax revenue for the city. We need more Jobs! I can’t stress it enough!
